Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork Nachos, Jensen’s Pub, Orlando, FL.
N: 9 out of 10. The Pulled Pork was smoked by Chef Chris Jensen for fourteen hours using Hickory Chips in his Cookshack Smoker. He also prepared a creamy Jack Cheese sauce that added some great flavor to the dish.
A: 9 out 10. As you can tell from the picture Chef Jensen took great care in preparing the plate of Nachos using sour cream, guacamole and diced tomatoes on top of the Pulled Pork and Jack Cheese.
C: 9 out of 10. The Chips had excellent stability despite the abundance of Jack Cheese. Chef Jensen added a few secret ingredients to the Jack Cheese which made it very creamy and in turn kept the chips from becoming soggy.
H: 9 out of 10. The pulled pork was smoked to perfection and I was a big fan of the Jack Cheese.
O: 9 out of 10. It was hard to find anything wrong with these nachos. Add in the fact that Chef Jensen also prepared Ribs and the Nachos were served with Moscow Mules as well as a couple of bottles of Stags’ Leap wine and these nachos could have easily been ranked 10 out of 10. However, prior to putting a 10 on Nachos I would like for the other Nacho Dude to sample this same dish with me. I look forward to making that happen in the near future.
