I decided to take the spice out of the Cheesecake Factory's "Factory Nachos". They accommodated my "non-spicy" version, by putting the peppers and salsa on the side. I also substituted "spicy chicken" for grilled chicken. And a good dollop of guac and sour cream. All to my taste! They looked great! A nice chunk of grilled chicken on each slice, and nice melted cheese. The chips were mostly great, though chips on the bottom were a bit soggy, that were sitting in the pool of Cheez-Whiz on the bottom of the plate. I guess for those who prefer to dip. I loved the taste! All my special requests were accommodated. Overall, I'd say they were practically perfect in every way.
Generous portion of chicken and chips, but not a fan of queso instead of grated cheese. Made the chips soggy. Also, don't try to eat nachos in a dark theatre. You don't know what you're grabbing and it can be pretty messy.
These beauties score high in nitroness of toppings (grilled chicken is excellent and coverage is good), appearance, chip stability, taste and the setting can’t be beat. Areas of improvement - they serve the salsa and guacamole on the side ... which leads to the obvious question of - why not just add them? Recommend pairing it with a Tropical Mojito. These nachos were not on the menu which is a shame for others. I would give these nachos a solid 8.5. Chips aided by a solid Tito’s and water as well as a great setting and view. The only thing keeping them from scoring higher was the lack of additional toppings beyond the chicken and queso. The lack of toppings did not affect me as I cleaned the plate myself and will definitely order these nachos again the next time I visit The Four Seasons.
Pork Nachos, Amway Center, Orlando N: 5 out of 10. The Pork Nachos were made with Pork, black beans, salsa and fresh Ortega cheese sauce. They literally replaced the cheese sauce bag just in time for my order. A: 6 out 10. A whole lot of processed cheese dominating this photo. C: 6 out of 10. You will notice the fork in the picture. I ended up having to use the fork to finish the nachos because the chips had become so soggy. The chips ultimately could not stand up to all of the cheese and beans. H: 6 out of 10. It is rare that I do not finish an order of nachos but this was one time that I just did not think it was worth it. I really wanted to like them more. O: 6 out of 10. These Nachos were average in taste and I likely would not order them again. However, I did give them a little extra just because of the atmosphere. N: 4 I'll start with the positive. The ground beef had great flavor. The problem was there was not enough of it. In fact, the toppings were sparse all the way around making this dish more a basket of chips rather than nachos. A: 5 The appearance was unique in that you had the chips surrounding a pile of lettuce with 2 plastic cups of sour cream and guacamole. It was a waste of lettuce and of crucial nacho space. On a side note to all of you nacho makers out there, don't put topping on the side unless asked to do so. This dish would have been improved if they took the time to put the guacamole and sour cream on the nachos instead of in plastic black cups. Homemade Ground Turkey Nachos N: 7 out of 10. The Turkey Nachos were made with Ground Turkey, corn, Pico de Gallo and a type of guacamole mix. You probably do not see this combination everyday but Alisha currently has me doing the Beachbody 21 day fix with her. Apparently the large amount of nachos that I have been consuming lately had started to catch up with me. A: 8 out 10. Take the paper plate out of the equation here and these look like restaurant quality nachos. All we are missing is the Cheese! C: 5 out of 10. I can't say how the meal plan works with the 21 day fix as Alisha has been totally in charge of meal preparation. Somehow though I guess you are allowed 2 hard shell tortillas or two soft shell corn tortillas. I obviously chose the hard shell tortillas and broke them up to make them into chips. The "chips" looked and initially tasted good but the stability was downright embarrassing. Even with this small plate the stability was gone before I was half way through. Conch Nachos, Regent Palms, Turks & Caicos. N: 9 out of 10. The Conch Nachos were hand made with Conch, Conch Ceviche, peppers, goat cheese and some mixed cheddar and mozzarella. If that combination doesn’t make your mouth water then I would just mark Turks & Caicos off your list and move on to the next destination. A: 8 out 10. I do not feel that the picture does these nachos justice as far as the quality of the ingredients used in the Conch Nachos. My one complaint with these nachos was in regards to the serving size. C: 9 out of 10. The Chip stability was excellent even with the amount of ceviche layered on them. H: 9 out of 10. As you can probably tell from the pictures I posted from The Bahamas and others from Turks, I am a huge Conch fan. However, these nachos took conch to the next level. Cracked Conch, Conch Fritters and Conch Chowder all take a backseat to the Conch Nachos from the Regent Palms. O: 9 out of 10. Hickory Smoked Pulled Pork Nachos, Jensen's Pub, Orlando, FL. N: 9 out of 10. The Pulled Pork was smoked by Chef Chris Jensen for fourteen hours using Hickory Chips in his Cookshack Smoker. He also prepared a creamy Jack Cheese sauce that added some great flavor to the dish. A: 9 out 10. As you can tell from the picture Chef Jensen took great care in preparing the plate of Nachos using sour cream, guacamole and diced tomatoes on top of the Pulled Pork and Jack Cheese. C: 9 out of 10. The Chips had excellent stability despite the abundance of Jack Cheese. Chef Jensen added a few secret ingredients to the Jack Cheese which made it very creamy and in turn kept the chips from becoming soggy. H: 9 out of 10. The pulled pork was smoked to perfection and I was a big fan of the Jack Cheese. O: 9 out of 10. It was hard to find anything wrong with these nachos. N: 7 out of 10. The pulled pork was excellent but there could have been more of it. Less lettuce and more pulled pork and this category would have been higher. The amount of lettuce actually made it a little difficult to make a good nacho for the person with me but he is a little less experienced at eating Nachos. A: 7 out 10. Good looking plate of nachos but again a little heavy on the lettuce. C: 8 out of 10. Chips had excellent stability. The speed at which the nachos were consumed may have contributed to the stability. H: 7 out of 10. The pulled pork was great and I actually liked the addition of the lettuce on the nachos there was just too much of it. O: 8 out of 10. I am going to give these nachos a little higher rating because I enjoyed the overall atmosphere of Jim'n Nick's as well as the Ribs and the Naked Pig Pale Ale. Add more meat to the nachos on my next visit and I will rate them a little higher.
